Senior Chinese leader Jia Qinglin, on an investigative tour in southwest China's Yunnan Province, urged CPPCC officials to persist in the study and application of the important thought of Three Represents.
Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People抯 Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said the study represents a priority political task for the patriotic united front and the CPPCC.
Jia, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, called for strengthening the work of the united front and the CPPCC under the guidelines of the "Three Represents" though, so as to provide support for the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way.
During the tour, from July 12 to 16, Jia visited villages, enterprises and new and hi-tech zones in Dali, Lijiang and Kunming cities. His investigation focused on launching a new round of study and implementation of the important thought of Three Represents, promoting economic and social development in areas dominated by minority ethnic groups and improving the work of the united front and the CPPCC.
