China issued 22.4 billion yuan (US$2.7 billion) worth of treasury bonds, the Ministry of Finance announced Thursday.
The five-year treasury bonds will be on sale at security markets in Shanghai and Shenzhen from Oct. 24 to Oct. 29. The T-bond has an annual interest rate of 2.65 percent.
