Journalists in Pakistan Condemn Killing of Colleagues in Iraq
Around 150 Pakistani and Islamabad-based foreign journalists staged a demonstration in Islamabad Wednesday condemning the killing of media men in Iraq.

The demonstrators, in the UN building downtown Islamabad, were holding banners, placards and chanting slogans against the US-led coalition forces for targeting journalists.

Three journalists were killed and three others wounded in Baghdad after they came under fire on Tuesday, bringing the media death toll in Iraq to 12.

Representatives in their speeches highly lauded the journalists in Iraq for performing professional duties in the world most dangerous place.

They presented a memorandum to Islamabad-based UN officials, demanding formation of an independent tribunal, comprising of independent international journalists, to probe into this incident.
