The Indonesian government plans to offer 3 billion rupiah (about US$333,000) aid to buy medicines for victims of war in Iraq, said a minister in Jakarta Tuesday.
"The funds would be used to buy medicines in Amman, Jordan, for Iraqi people," said Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare and Poverty Alleviation Yusuf Kalla in a press conference.
He said that the fund would be channeled through Indonesian red cross in cooperation with the international red cross.
According to Kalla, the implementation of the assistance would be carried out next week.
A part from that, Minster of Health and Social Welfare Ahmad Suyudi said that 200 doctors across Indonesia are ready to go to the Middle East area to help people in Iraq.
