Casualties in the First 12 Days of Iraq War
The number of casualties on both sides of the warring parties mounted as the Iraq war entered its 12th day Monday.

Coalition forces:

-- Killed on the battlefield: 31 US and six British soldiers, with another four US soldiers killed in a suicide attack

-- Killed in accidents: 11 US and 19 British soldiers

-- Missing or captured: 24 US and two British soldiers

Iraqi forces: No official figures

Civilians: About 590 killed and more than 4,500 injured.
