21 US-British Troops, 53 Iraqis Die in First Three Days of War
Seven US troops and 14 British troops died in the first three days of the US-led war on Iraq, with most of them killed in accidents. On the Iraqi side, 53 civilians have been killed with more than 250 wounded.

A US Marine Corps soldier was killed on battlefront in Iraq on Thursday, and another Marine Corps soldier died on Friday in Iraq.

A US Marine Corps CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter crashed 16 km from the border with Iraq in Kuwait on Friday, killing eight British Royal Marines and four US Marines aboard.

On Saturday, two Sea King helicopters of the British Royal Navy collided over international waters in the north of the Gulf. All seven aboard, six British troops and one US soldier, were killed in the collision.

A Jordanian taxi driver was killed in the first round of US airstrikes against Baghdad on Thursday.

Iraqi officials said on Saturday that US overnight bombardment on Baghdad on Friday left three Iraqi civilians dead and another 250 wounded.

Fifty people were killed and 27 injured during US air strikes against the Iraqi southern city Basra Saturday night, the Qatar-based satellite television Al-Jazeera reported.

An Australian photographer was killed in a car bomb explosion in northern Iraq. Kurdish leaders in northern Iraq blamed the explosion on an armed group accused by the United States of linking with the al Qaeda terrorist network.
