The Chinese government has made all-out efforts for the effective protection and unprecedented prosperity of Tibetan culture, said Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), in Beijing Tuesday.
In meeting with members of a newly-established association for protection and development of Tibetan culture, Jia said the Tibetan culture, enjoying a long history, reflects Tibetan people's characteristics of bravery and wisdom as well as the fact that Tibet is an inalienable part of China's territory.
The Chinese government has attached great importance to the protection and development of minorities' culture, and made a series of favorable policies to push forward the development of Tibet, he said.
Jia called for joint efforts of various social groups to make new contributions for protection and development of Tibetan culture.
