A competition has kicked off for the design of a cultural heritage protection logo for China.
Hosted by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH), the contest welcomes the participation of designers, artists and people from around the world who care about Chinese cultural heritage protection.
Sources with the administration said the logo will be used to mark cultural heritage sites and relics, especially unmovable relics, in the country and in promotional campaigns emphasizing the protection of China's rich cultural heritage.
The authorities believe that an impressive logo will help raise public awareness of the need for relic protection, said Wang.
The designed logos, 15x15cm, are to be sent in BMG or JPG format, along with two printed copies.
They are to be mailed before June 1 to the secretarial office of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Protection Logo Contest, Room 402, Wenbo Plaza, 2 Gaoyuanjie Street, Beisihuan Donglu, Chaoyang District, Beijing. The postal code is 100029 and the contact number (8610)8463-6599 ext 657.
