An exhibition, which is aimed at promoting the importance of workplace English, will be held during the Easter holidays, said the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research on Wednesday.
This is part of the activities of the Workplace English Campaign, which was launched by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government in 2000 with the aim of raising the standard of English among the Hong Kong workforce.
During the Easter holidays from Friday to next Monday, the exhibition will open to the public for free.
Two "Easter Wish Trees" will be set up at the exhibition venue for visitors to make their Easter wishes on improving English standards.
A "Workplace English 2004 Kelly Chen Fun Fun Show" will also be held on Saturday at the same venue. Kelly Chen, the campaign's ambassador, will take part in the activity to promote the "Workplace English" TV program and share with the audience the importance of workplace English through games.
