An exhibition titled Guangzhou and the Silk Road on the Sea has opened at the China Culture Center in Paris. It is an important part of the China-France Culture Year activities.

It is an important part of the China-France Culture Year activities.

The exhibition includes pictures, paintings and reproductions of cultural relics from Guangzhou, the capital of southern China's Guangdong Province and one of the country' oldest seaports.

The display shows the rich cultural heritage of the city, combining the features of an old port and a modern metropolis.

Guangzhou was the largest city in southern China more than two thousand years ago, and also the start of the silkroad on the sea.

The marine route was an important trade channel connecting Asia and Europe in ancient times.
