A brightly-costumed ballet drama La Bayadere or Temple Dancer closed the curtain of the 15th Macao Arts Festival Sunday.
During this arts-enlightened March, Macao audience had a taste of 20 art shows and four exhibitions. Programs from China's inland, Hong Kong, Macao, Australia and America at the month-long arts festival provided something to suit every taste.
The dance drama staged by the Guangzhou Ballet Troupe Sunday night brought the arts festival to a climax. Acted by Chinese ballet performers, the show depicted an epic love story set in India.
This year's festival was jointly sponsored by the Cultural Institute and the Macao Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau.
Every year, the Macao Arts Festival held in March and Macao International Music Festival in October are the two major arts and cultural events for the Special Administrative Region (SAR), attracting the attention of both local residents and visitors from the mainland and overseas.
