The Postal Services of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) will issue a set of stamps portraying the traditional lifestyle of the city in 1950s and 1960s, it announced on Monday.
A total of 400,000 copies of the stamp set will be issued starting July 30. The set consists of eight stamps depicting miniature scenes such as children with candle-lit lantern in hand wandering through streets or relishing malt sugars while absorbed in skills of noodle-masters, family gathering and women washing cloths by the side of a pool, said Carlos Roldao Lopes, director of the postal services, at a press conference.
This is the seventh of the 12 sets of stamps the postal service plans to issue for 2003.
