A student in south China's Guangzhou University has started compiling a Chinese campus richest list.
Liu Kai, a freshman studying French at the university, hopes his list will inspire his peers to start their own private enterprises.
Of course, those who get funding from their families will not be included in the list.
Liu Kai says so far the biggest problem has been finding people to help him do investigations in the country's different universities.
A student in North China's Liaoning Province, who runs his own internet company, has contacted Liu Kai, saying that he hopes to be included in the list and has also offered to help him compile it.
