Twelve miners died and one was still missing in a coal mine gas explosion in southwest China's Sichuan Province Monday.
Local officials said the explosion occurred Monday afternoon in Dingjiaping Coal Mine in mountainous Guang'an City.
Sichuan provincial leaders have asked local governments to do their best to look for the missing miner.
A group of officials led by Yang Zhiwen, vice-governor of the province, has arrived at the scene to deal with the aftermath.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
