A 30 kg part of a plane fell onto a school in Dalian, a coastal city in northeast China, yesterday morning. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The school will receive the accident report this afternoon
Yesterday morning, many students were horror-stricken by a sudden crashing sound. They saw a big hole in a solid concrete ceiling and an unidentified metal pipe-like object. The teachers immediately called the police.
At the same time, the pilots found that a piece had dropped off the undercarriage of their Boeing 767; ten minutes later, the airplane landed safely at Dalian Zhoushuizi International airport.
The object that hit the school was soon identified as the missing part.
