China will hold an international forum on youth business on Nov. 25-27 to help young jobless start their own business, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) announced. The forum's aim is to foster young entrepreneurs with the joint efforts of the government, enterprises and the society. The forum will also introduce the UN scheme for youth employment and discuss problems that may arise when starting a business.
Over 120 representatives from various international organizations, multinational companies and related government departments will attend the forum, discussing how to provide financial and technical support for youth to start business.
The meeting will also launch a Youth Business China project based on the British Youth Business International, a successful program practiced in over 30 countries.
Statistics from the United Nations show that youth account for 40 percent of the world's total unemployed. Official figures show that 30 percent of China's over 13 million unemployed are young people aged from 18 to 35.The forum is jointly organized by the CYLC Central Committee, All-China Youth Federation and Youth Business International.
