Microsoft's Local JV Aims High
Censoft Co Ltd, Microsoft's first joint venture in China, aims to be one of the largest domestic software enterprises in the next five years.

"We will take advantage of the great opportunity in the country's information construction, develop our own core products and become a leading force in the domestic software industry," said Zhu Xiduo, president of the company.

The past decade of development has established a solid basis for China's information technology industry, but it still has areas that need more work, Zhu said.

He said that the only feasible way to improve the country's information construction with less investment and higher efficiency is pushing the conformity of existing information systems, in which the IT enterprises' biggest opportunities lie.

The current key projects in the country's information construction such as creating a digital city, developing e-governance and advancing bank integration all deal with conformity, he said.

To meet market demand, Censoft devotes itself to developing general resources platform (GRP) software with independence in intellectual property rights and provides comprehensive solutions in its products.

Global software suppliers have yet to establish a brand name in the GRP field.

As an independent software developer, Censoft hopes to be one of the leaders in the international software market with its core products, Censoft General Resources Platform (CenGRP), as a world famous brand.
