China produced 94,900 cars in July, surging 73.8 percent year-on-year, official statistics show.
According to the National Statistics Bureau, almost all the car manufacturers across the country achieved remarkable growth in output.
China manufactured 523,500 cars in the first seven months this year, up 39 percent over the same period last year, the paper said.
More people intend to buy Chinese-made cars as the prices of imported vehicles climb.
Some new models are in short supply and buyers must order them, sources said.
