A domestic flight on its way to Shanghai encountered strong turbulence Monday evening, resulting in injuries to eight passengers and crewmembers. None were seriously injured.
Four of the injured remain hospitalized for observation, but the remaining four have been released.
The flight, which took off from central China's Changsha City in Hunan Province, was hit by strong winds at an altitude of 7,500 meters as it was descending into Shanghai.
None of the injured people had their seatbelts secured.
