The China State Farm’s Agribusiness Group Corp. has become China’s largest enterprise of agriculture development in Cambodia.
The China State Farm’s Agribusiness Group Corp. is a state-owned enterprise which has overseas business. Over years of development, the corporation combines farming with produce processing, trade, agricultural development; integrates producing, supplying, and marketing; and taps domestic and foreign markets.
Since the year 1996, the corporation has branched out in Cambodia. So far, it has tapped 40,000 hectares of land with 300,000 hectares more to be developed. Over the past few years, it has given full play to local agricultural resources including forestry and tropical cash crops and initiated six major enterprises in timber processing, projects for drinking water, and agricultural development. These enterprises produce timber, fiber boards, tropical fruits, beef and ostrich breeding. The corporation is expected to achieve US$652.74 billion after all its projects are completed.
The corporation has received the prizes and a golden construction medal issued by the Cambodian government for its achievements in the first, second and third phases of the well digging project for the country.
