It has repaired and opened 1,400-odd monasteries and temples, including the Potala palace. Another 570 million yuan will be invested starting this year, mainly going to the renovation of 22 Tibetan historic and heritage buildings, the largest renovation project in terms of fund and scale the central government has ever made in Tibet.
