Eighteen Chinese students held demonstrations last Saturday in front of the British Houses of Parliament, and Tibet House, London headquarters of the Tibetan separatists, according to a student named Fang from Cambridge University. The students held placards demanding fair media coverage of events in Tibet and stood their ground in the face of threats from the separatists.
"SinGer-Z", one of the organizers, gave China.org.cn permission to use photos of the demonstration posted on powerapple.com (http://powerapple.com), the largest online forum for Chinese students overseas. The students’ bravery has been applauded at home and abroad.
"SinGer-Z" also told China.org.cn that the students plan further actions to counter protests by Tibet activists when the Olympic torch arrives in London on April 6. He vowed Chinese students would form an escort for the torch, and make sure the Chinese people's voice is heard in front of the world media.
