Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo on Wednesday met with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Beijing.

The two exchanged views on the consensus reached between Chinese President Hu Jintao and visiting US President Barack Obama on Tuesday.

They also exchanged ideas on pushing forward Sino-US relations and other issues of common concern.

Clinton has been accompanying Obama's first state visit to China from Nov. 15 to 18.

Obama will conclude his visit in China on Wednesday afternoon and fly to the Republic of Korea, the last leg of his weeklong Asia tour.
