Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi's youngest son Khamis had been killed in a clash near capital Tripoli and were buried in Zlitan, media quoted rebel source as saying on Monday.
Khamis was said to be killed in between Tripoli and Bani Walid, according to the reports, which could not be independently verified to the moment. It is not the first time Khamis had been reported killed.
On Sunday, rebel military spokesman Col. Ahmed Bani said at a news conference that Khamis might have been shot a day before in his car, among a convoy of Mercedes, by rebel troops some 80 km southeast to Tripoli.
The spokesman added he could not confirm the death.
The youngest son of Gaddafi, Khamis was born in 1983. Being trained in Russia, Khamis had commanded Libya's 32nd Brigade, one of the most reliable Gaddafi forces. The troops had been deployed in Zlitan, the biggest urban area between Misrata and the capital Tripoli.
Meanwhile, Gaddafi's wife Safia, his daughter Aisha, his sons Hannibal and Mohammed, accompanied by their children, entered Algeria at 08:45 a.m. local time (0745 GMT) through the Algerian- Libyan border, Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
