China, U.S. sign memorandum to establish governors' forum

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi signed a memorandum of understanding with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday on establishing a China-U.S. Governors' Forum between the two countries.
China and the United States support the establishment of such a forum, says the memorandum.
The forum will serve as an important communication platform between Chinese provincial and U.S. state governors in a bid to promote practical cooperation at provincial level in areas such as trade, investment, energy, environment and culture.
