The Arab League (AL) put 17 Syrian officials on the travel ban list as part of its sanctions against Damascus, Egypt's official MENA news agency reported on Thursday.
The list, formulated by an AL committee on Wednesday, included Syria's defense and interior ministers, intelligence chief, a businessman and some military figures, the agency said.
The technical committee in charge of studying sanctions also suggested stopping flights to and from Syria in mid-December while allowing goods like wheat, medicine, gas and electricity to Syria, according to the report.
On Sunday, the AL decided to impose sanctions against Syria, as it failed to sign a deal before the deadline of last Friday over the visit of an AL observer mission.
