Six people were missing on Monday in the Turkish Mediterranean province of Antalya which was hit by floods after heavy rains, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Six people were found missing after three houses were destroyed in Haskiziloren village in Serik district of Antalya province, the report quoted Antalya Governor Ahmet Altiparmak as saying. The report added rescue teams have managed to rescue 25 people so far.
Deputy governor of Antalya Turan Eren said access to the region has been blocked, where three bridges were damaged and phone connections in some villages were cut off due to the floods.
Western and southern Turkey were hit by strong winds and heavy rains since Saturday. Schools in Antalya were closed on Monday due to the weather condition.
