Smoke rose from a passenger plane carrying more than 100 people above the Schiphol Airport near Amsterdam Thursday evening, eyewitnesses said.

The plane was still in the air when the smoke was seen from the cabinet.

No report of casualties is immediately available. Firefighters are already on the site to deal the situation.
