Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere thanked China for its condolences for the victims in Friday's twin attacks in Oslo that killed at least 92 people.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the messages we have had from the people of China including from Prime Minister Wen (Jiabao). A very personal message to the people of Norway which we deeply appreciate," Stoere told Xinhua on Saturday.
These messages have been communicated to the survivors and to the victims' families, he added.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Saturday sent a message to his Norwegian counterpart Jens Stoltenberg, condemning the violent attacks while extending his condolences to the victims and deep sympathy to their families.
