Yemeni state-run television reported on Friday that President Ali Abdullah Saleh has moved to a secure place and he is in good condition now.

Earlier, witnesses told Xinhua that a series of explosions and heavy gunfire rocked a mosque near Saleh's Palace in Sanaa.

Columns of smoke resulted from the explosions and heavy shooting were seen soaring from the residential neighborhoods surrounding the presidential palace in south of Sanaa.
