Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu met Friday with Bruno Le Maire, French minister of agriculture, food supply, fisheries, rural areas and regional development of France, to exchange views on upcoming meetings of the Group of 20 (G20).
"China is ready to maintain close contacts and coordination with France on the meeting of the G20 countries' agriculture ministers, as well as the G20 summit in Cannes," Hui said.
He added China appreciated France's preparation work for the G20 summit scheduled in November and the agriculture ministers' meeting in Paris in June.
Le Maire said France highly valued the role and influence of the Chinese government, and was willing to collaborate closely with China for the success of the G20 meetings.
The two officials also exchanged views on bilateral agricultural cooperation.
China will maintain its efforts in achieving self-sufficiency of grain through self-reliance, which will significantly contribute to world food security, Hui said.
