Casualties are feared in a suicide attack which targeted a military hospital in Wazir Akbar Khan district in Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul on Saturday.
An Afghan official, on the condition of anonymity, told Xinhua that the blast was a suicide attack targeting a military hospital.
"A suicide bomber blew himself up inside the Emergency Ward of 400-bed Mohammad Daud Hospital in Wazir Akbar Khan district at noon time," the official told Xinhua.
The official also believed that another suicide bomber is hiding inside the hospital.
