Czech President Vaclav Klaus on Thursday reshuffled the cabinet following a corruption scandal that resulted in a government crisis.
The president announced the appointment of two new ministers -- Jan Kubice as the new interior minister and Radek Smerda as the new transport minister.
The move, which was part of an agreement concluded by the coalition parties on Monday in order to avoid a government collapse, came after two ministers departed amid bribery and incompetence allegations.
Klaus expressed hoped that the reshuffle would put an end to the current government crisis, which he said has degraded confidence in politics and politicians.
