Five Afghan civilians including a health worker were injured as the vehicle they were ridding struck by a mine in Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province on Tuesday, district administrative chief said.
"The head of Dasht-e-Archi district health clinic, Dr. Kamaluddin and four of his family members injured when their car ran over a mine at around 10 a.m. local time," Shikh Saduddin told Xinhua.
The administration chief blamed the enemies of Afghanistan a term often used by Afghan official referring to Taliban insurgents for initiating the blast in the province 250 km north of capital city Kabul.
However, the armed outfit has yet to made comment.
Kunduz and neighboring Baghlan provinces have been the scene of Taliban-led militancy over the past couple of years.
