Promoting practical cooperation between China and India is the main content of Wen's visit to India. In his speech at the China-India commerce cooperation summit, Wen said the bilateral economic and commercial cooperation is a win-win one with a bright future.
Both sides should dig deep potentials of economic and commercial cooperation, create good investment climates to expand cooperation fields, strengthen exchanges between enterprises and push bilateral cooperation to a larger, wider and higher level, Wen said.
During Wen's visit to India, both sides decided to establish a strategic economic dialogue mechanism and a China-India CEO's forum, to set a new bilateral trade target of 100 billion U.S. dollars by 2015 and to expand cooperation in investment, high technology and energy.
Human and cultural exchange is another focal point of Wen's visit to India. Wen and Singh participated in the activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the China-India diplomatic relations.
The two sides declared that the year of 2011 will be the "Year of China-India Exchange," during which each side will invite 500 youth from the other side for a visit.
Wen said people are the foundation of the China-India friendship. Both sides should steadily promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, particularly between the young people, to enrich the contents of bilateral relations.
Consolidating China-Pakistan friendship, pragmatic cooperation
Yang said that Wen's visit to Pakistan is of great significance in advancing the all-weather strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Pakistan.
During his stay in Pakistan, Wen met with President Asif Ali Zardari,Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, as well as leaders of the parliament and the main political parties, and top military leaders.
Leaders of the two countries had an in-depth exchange of views on further strengthening and deepening the China-Pakistan strategic partnership of cooperation as well as on major international and regional issues, and they reached broad consensus, Yang said.
A consolidated and deepened all-weather strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Pakistan will serve the common interests of the two countries and peoples, and contribute to peace, stability and development in the region and the world, Wen said.
