China to deepen ties with Central Asia

China treasures the hard-won opportunity for peaceful development, and sincerely hopes to maintain the favorable environment of peace and stability with all its neighbors, he said.

Under no circumstance will China depart from the traditional virtue and fundamental values of seeking harmony and cherishing peace of the Chinese nation, nor will it inflict upon other sufferings it has been gone through, he added.

China's policy of good neighborliness is also a choice based on its foreign policy of peace, Jia said.

China has adhered to its good neighborliness policy and has maintained harmonious political ties with all bordering states, he said.

China, Jia said, also has continued mutually beneficial cooperation with its neighbors and promotes mutual trust and coordination in security issues. In addition, he said, China draws on anything useful from each cultural exchange with its neighbors.

Good neighborliness is part of China's practice of cooperation for win-win results, Jia said.

China has tried its best to provide assistance to its neighbors, works hard to enhance economic and trade cooperation with them and is now a major engine for regional economic growth, he added.

Promote peace, prosperity in central asia

Jia also noted that China will continue to play an active role in promoting lasting peace and common prosperity in Central Asia.

China's peaceful development is inseparable from Central Asia's, while Central Asia's stability and prosperity also depends on China, Jia said.

Central Asian countries, which share a border of 3,300 km with China, are China's friendly neighbors, Jia said.

China established diplomatic relations with the five Central Asian countries very shortly after they gained their independence, Jia said, adding that their friendly cooperation has made great progress.

Nowadays, both China and Central Asian countries are actively exploring and perfecting the roads of development suited to their own national conditions, and increasing common interests in promoting peace and development and ever closer interdependency, he said.

China is willing to join hands with all Central Asian countries to enhance good-neighborliness and friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, safeguard common security and promote regional stability in order to translate bilateral advantages into substantial benefits for the peoples, he said.
