At least six people died and 116 more injured in Formosa province, north of Argentina due to a tornado, authorities said on Friday.
Police commander of Pozo del Tigre in Formosa, Oscar Rodriguez said that among the deaths there are one elder citizen, a 23-year- old woman, three youngsters and a baby.
The tornado strongly affected the region on Thursday noon, destroying houses, Rodriguez said.
Among the injured people, 10 of them are in serious conditions. Rodriguez added that there are no missing people.
Meanwhile, Pozo del Tigre's Mayor Reinaldo Castillo said that to the moment they have not assessed the damages caused by the tornado, however, the town will be aided by the provincial government.
