Cholera death toll in Haiti reaches 142

At least 142 people have died of cholera in the last 72 hours in Haiti, and some 1,600 more are infected, Haiti's Public Health and Population Ministry said on Friday.
According to information reaching here from the Haitian Capital of Port-au-Prince, Health Minister Gabriel Timothee said that the outbreak is affecting the north zone of the country.
Timothee told local media that it is "a sanitary emergency."
