Russia's Far Eastern Primorsky region has a bright prospect for cooperation with China, its governor Sergei Darkin said Tuesday.
Darkin said the agreements signed by leaders of the two countries will add new impetus to further expansion of bilateral strategic cooperation, local media reported.
Darkin, who attended the negotiation that led to the agreements, said Primorsky region has all the necessary conditions for further cooperation, as many Chinese investment projects had completed over recent years, with more under construction.
Primorsky has China's northeastern Jilin Province as its partner of friendly cooperation.
During a recent meeting in Beijing between Sergei and his counterpart Wang Rulin, governor of Jilin, they discussed joint programs in agriculture, manufacturing and tourism, agreeing on further cooperation.
