Nine service members with the NATO- led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed when an ISAF helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan Tuesday.
The ISAF confirmed the incident in a press release, saying that two other ISAF service members an Afghan National Army soldier and a U.S. civilian received injuries in the crash and were transported to an ISAF medical facility for treatment.
There are no reports of enemy fire in the area, said the press release.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, it said.
