Following four explosions in the city centre of Lashkargah, Afghanistan on 20 June 2010, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff worked together with local hospital staff at Boost hospital to treat 24 wounded. Having left the country after the brutal killing of five staff in Badghis province in June 2004, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) returned to Afghanistan in 2009. Increasing signals that the overall situation for Afghans was getting worse rather than better motivated the return.[Ton KOENE]
