The number of wildfires in Russia have kept dropping during the weekend, although there are still about 200 wildfires raging on an area of 6,391 hectares, the country's Emergency Situations Ministry said on Sunday.
About 80 new fires were reported while 122 have been put out during the past 24 hours, the ministry said, quoted by RIA Novosti news agency.
There are still 21 large fires burning on an area of over 3,000 hectares, including 20 peat bog fires.
The fires in Russia's 22 regions killed over 50 and left over 3,500 people homeless.
