Afghan gov't to review leak war documents

Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Thursday said that he has ordered foreign ministry and his top national security advisor to review and study more than 90,000 classified U.S. military documents on Afghan war that leaked to media early weekend. "The documents will be assessed and the process begun yesterday and if requires to review the strategy of war on terror, we would demand our international partners to review it," President Karzai told a press conference in his fortified palace.
Revealed by a U.S. based outlet - Wikileaks.org, collected more than 91,000 pieces documents from the U.S. military in Afghanistan indicated NATO's involvement in killing Afghan civilians and covered support of Iran and Pakistan to Taliban militants.
"It has proved that Afghanistan was right and legitimate in his stance," he said, adding Afghanistan in the past had stressed that terrorists centers are outside Afghanistan and not in Afghan villages and the documents proves the fact.
However, Afghan president added that Afghanistan will continue its efforts to have strong and friendly relations with its neighboring countries especially Iran and Pakistan.
Earlier on Tuesday, President Karzai's advisor to National Security Rangin Dadfar Spanta told journalists without naming any country that the war on terror will not be won unless terrorists centers are destroyed outside Afghanistan.
Afghan officials have accused certain Pakistani circles of supporting Taliban militants to fight Afghan and NATO-led troops in Afghanistan but Islamabad has rejected the claim, saying the accusation is groundless.
