Special coverage: London Conference on Afghanistan

The international conference on the war-torn Afghanistan -- the Kabul Conference opened in Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday amid tight security.

This is the first-ever biggest international conference on Afghanistan held inside the post-Taliban country opened with the recitation of the verses of Kuran, the Muslim Holy Book, to seek more international community's support for its rebuilding.

Delegates including United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and some 40 foreign ministers from over 70 countries and international organization attended the one-day conference.
