Turkish FM confirms airspace closure to Israeli military

Turkish airspace has been fully closed to Israeli military flights in response to Israel's deadly raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla in late May, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted as saying by local daily.
"Turkey's airspace is fully closed to Israeli military planes. The ban is not implemented case-by-case. It's a blanket ban," Davutoglu said in a interview on Sunday, which was published on Monday's edition of Hurriyet Daily News & Economic Review.
The minister said the decision was made one week after the incident occurred and the ban could also be expanded to include civilian aircraft.
"If steps are not taken (by Israel), the process of isolation will continue," he said.
"We know what we want. We are right in all means. We will strictly follow (this path) until our demands are met," he stressed.
On May 31, Israeli military navy attacked an international aid convoy flotilla for Gaza, causing nine activists on board killed, including eight Turks and one American of Turkish origin, and dozens injured, which evoked vast international official and popular condemnation.
