The Thai government has no policy to have international organizations, including the United Nations to intervene Thailand's internal affairs, acting government spokesman Panithan Wattanayakorn said Sunday.

All of the Thai governments in the past, including the current government, "have never had policy to let international organizations to intervene its domestic affairs," Panithan told the nation on a television program.

His statement on behalf of the Thai government was made after the anti-government group said earlier that the group is ready to hold talks with the government, with having the UN as a mediator.

Also, the anti-government group has repeatedly asked the Thai government to withdraw troops having been deployed at several locations in capital Bangkok with operations aiming to disperse the over-two-month long rally in central Bangkok.
