Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc said on Wednesday that Romania had lifted restrictions on air traffic in its airspace.
"There is no restriction on planes taking off and landing in Romania," Boc told the cabinet meeting in the morning.
Transport Minister Radu Berceanu assured that Romanian airspace will remain open and said planes already flew in from most European regions.
Berceanu said nothing wrong was found during last night's inspection of a few planes that had originated from Amsterdam.
"I think that in the time to come, as we know better the effects that these particles in the cloud under consideration might have on planes, things will be managed much better," the minister added.
Environment Minister Laszlo Borbely said the air quality did not change and there was no danger for the population.
Romania's airspace was reopened on Monday morning after being closed Saturday.
