The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) said on Saturday that it was not involved in the sinking of a South Korean warship near their maritime border last month.
South Korea linked the sinking of "Cheonan" warship to the DPRK without a thorough investigation, the official KCNA news agency quoted an article by a military commentator as saying, calling it a "stupid action."
The 1,200-ton "Cheonan" with 104 crew members onboard sank late last month near the maritime border with the DPRK after an unexplained explosion.
South Korean investigators said an external explosion was the most likely cause of the mysterious sinking.
