Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Thursday the government is still open for a third round of talks with the red shirts' core leaders.
But, the red shirts have not yet coordinated with the government for a possibility of the third round of talks, Abhisit said, the National News Bureau of Thailand (NNT) under the government's Public Relations Department reported.
However, if the red shirts still insist that they want the lower House of parliament to be dissolved within 15 days, it will be impossible to hold more talks, Abhisit said.
Also, one more condition for the possibility to hold more talks is the red shirts need to stop a scattered rally, Abhisit said.
The anti-government red shirts and the coalition government have had a different view on the timeframe for the House dissolution.
The red shirts have insisted the House be dissolved within 15 days, asserting it is the only solution to the country's ongoing political conflict.
But, Prime Minister Abhisit has proposed that it be possible to dissolve the lower House by year-end.
