Thai PM, red-shirt leaders fail to agree

Thailand's Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and three anti-government core leaders failed to reach concrete agreement in their first round of talks on Sunday evening, but decided to meet again on Monday.
Their political negotiations were attended by Abhisit, his secretary- general Korbsak Sabhavasu, and ruling Democrat Party Deputy Secretary-general Chamni Sakdiset from the government side, as well as three core leaders, Veera Musikapong, Jatuporn Prompan, and Weng Thojirakarn, from the red-shirted side.
The talks started at 4.30 p.m. and ended shortly before 7.30 p. m.
The red-shirted negotiators have still insisted the House dissolution will be the only solution to the country's political conflict.
Hence, the "red shirts" have proposed the prime minister to make a decision about the House dissolution within two weeks, Jatuporn said before the end of the talk.
They have scheduled to hold the new round for their talk Monday evening.
